Locked FT8 Clipping on receive #EnhancementReqest #Elecraft
On 10 meters only, I have had problems with audio clipping on receive which results in very few or no receive signals on the pan adapter. I’m using WSJT-X ver. 2.5.4 and a Elecraft K3. To mitigate this issue I have been reducing the line in to 1 on the k3 which solves the problem on all bands except 10. Any thoughts from the group on what I need to try? Thanks and 73 Tom/W1QU

I think you mean line out, not line in, on the K3. Instead of reducing the level that far in the K3, you would probably be better off reducing the level in the Windows level settings for the sound card input you are using. Find the Control Panel app (you can get there from Windows 10 Settings > System > Sound and scroll down to find the link to "Sound Control Panel" under Related Settings). select the Recording tab, select the sound card input you are using, click on Properties, click on the Levels tab, and adjust the level slider downwards (possibly in concert with increasing the K3's Line Out level setting to something more reasonable like 5 or 6).

Do you have AGC on? AGC Slow works pretty well with WSJTX.
