Locked FT8 F/H Not showing Hounds when calling Fox #FT8

Hello again,

PROBLEM SOLVED. My understanding of F/H has been improved greatly. Here is my NEW perspective:

In FT8 F/H mode with me as Hound and "Activate TX" depressed, the cycle goes like this:

00 Fox transmits, all Hounds are silent. I see Fox on the waterfall and I decode him.
15 All Hounds (including me) transmit. I cannot see other Hounds because I am transmitting.
30 Fox transmits again, all Hounds are silent.
45 All Hounds (including me) transmit again; nothing on the waterfall.

In order to see the other Hounds, I have to cancel "Activate TX" and listen normally. Then all Hounds will be displayed and decoded.

I am in FT8 Hound mode and WSJT-X transmits at 15/45 because "Activate TX" is depressed. I cannot hear other Hounds when transmitting, obviously. But during the RX periodes 00/30, the Fox is transmitting, and I can see and decode him. However, I cannot see the other Hounds during 00/30, and that annoys me. It makes it difficult for me: Am I on a free frequency, or am I being "stomped on" by one of the big Hounds?

I can switch "Activate TX" off, then all Hounds are visible and decoded. However, this seems to me as a cumbersome way of operation.

Dave, are you saying that he is not a Fox nor Hound?
When I am in the Hound mode, then my transmitter starts at 15/45.
I never read the original message carefully, sri.
So it is unclear whether Lars is in the Hound mode in first place!
If he is sending at the Fox timeslot, he should see all Hounds, hi!
I am lost or there is some misunderstanding.

Reino, if he is in F/H should he not be transmitting at 15/45, and
listening at 00/30.. sounds like it is not actually in f/h mode

You cannot see the other hounds as they are transmitting at the same
time as you are.

How can I find an idle TX frequency, when the other Hounds are not
shown during RX?

Is WSJT-X supposed to work like this? Or am I missing something?

Every three or so calls, I cease transmissions, take a look for open spaces, then change transmit frequency to an open location, and begin the call cycle again.
