Locked Program crash #Windows07
Mike Orcutt
I installed Version 2.6.0-rc4: wsjtx-2.6.0-rc4-win64.exe. (64-bit Windows 7 or later). and it crashes from time to time and gives me the following message (Sub-process error Failed to close orphaned jt9 process) will not start again unless I reboot my computer. I've uninstall the 2.6.0 and re installed the WSJT-X 2.5.4 and everything seems fine again. I know the 2.6.0 Bata so I thought someone should know about this bug so if this is not the right place to share this information maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

Are you using "Max Dist" or "Call First" options? There's a known bug there.

It seems after a long journey the random crashing of the 2.6.0 rcs' has been fixed. The rc4 patch provide by Mike, W9MDB, fixed the problem for me. That patch has been incorporated in rc5.
Thanks to Mike, Uwe and Joe for sticking with this issue. -- 73 Ron W3RJW FTdx-5000, Timewave Navigator, WSJT-X Improved 2.6,0 rc5, JTAlert 2.60.3, HRD Deluxe v6.8.0.340 FTdx-3000, SignaLink USB Win 10 Pro |
