Locked TS 2000 SignaLink, Flrig, & WSJT-X ver. 2.5.4 #Kenwood

I am trying configure my almost new Kenwood TS-2000 to work with Flring v. 1.4.7.49 , SignaLink with their Kenwood data cable, and WSJT-X v. 2.5.4. (Fligi works fine so there are no cable issues). From what I have been reading on this forum, I assume the correct PTT setup is to use VOX and USB . At one point in time things were kind of working. The Tune button worked every time, however, the Enable Tx button would work for a few times and then quit. Then it would start working again and then quit. Should I use no radio control or should I use a different program to control the radio? I am not quite sure how to proceed. I have been searching through topic on this forum.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Signalink for audio, and WSJT-X with Hamlib (native) for rig control (freq, etc. as well as PTT for most, if desired). The SignaLink is a nice unit, but it is audio only . . .

If you are running PTT via the SignaLink VOX, make sure that the power slider in WSJT-X is not turned dow, since that reduces audio level, and may drop you below the VOX threshold.

Tnx for the info.

When I click on the Enable TX button and a message is sent, should I then be able to click on the button again and immediately send another message? Or is there some kind of built in delay governing how quickly I can send another message? Sometimes I can click the button quickly in succession and messages are sent, other times I have to wait for the Enable TX button to work. This is the issue that is bugging me. I have never used the WSJT-X program before.
