Locked Now what? Totally fouled up setup issue; i.e. NO LOG FILES!! #adiFiles

Ok,
Trying to do a brand new, FRESH install & set up on a new Win10 Pro Laptop with - 2.6.0-RC4... My main PC is already setup & works great (with the same interface & radio!). But... This setup has fought me all the way. First having RX issues got that ironed out. Then took an hour getting my same CAT control to pass the TEST & PTT... got that going too. Did a one time test QSO, and that worked; full RR73 with a 73 back. All looked great, initially... So went to transfer in my .log, .adi, & .ini files from the copies I made & put on my USB THUMB DRIVE, so I could be at the same level, setup, etc. Guess what? There are no log files on the laptop; before the transfer to new! Nothing! No .log & no .adi. Not even an ALL.TXT file. What the hell! Then when I re-looked at the panels, I see the U.S. station I worked didn't change color, and for that matter, all of the other NA stations are still red too. I went into the settings/open log directory, and some files are there, but not the log files. I went into, in "search of..." Mode , did a search for *.adi files & found my Grid Tracker .adif, and that's it! No other .adi or .adif files. 🤬 I found a "Logs" sub-folder... Empty. I dunno, lost & ticked off at this point. |

Did you install it in the program directory? It has admin privileges

and wsjt runs as user. Try reinstalling in something as C:\ham\wsjtx or C:\wsjtx Pietro I2OIM Il giorno mar 4 ott 2022 alle ore 00:05 JP Tucson, AZ <samcat88az@...> ha scritto: Ok, |

That's nice... and thanks but I don't want it on my C: drive which has limited space and I only want my system there...
Not wsjtx's or anyone else's bloatware. So, I installed in on my removable rack D drive. And my entire sys has admin priv. |

I installed in a USB disk, too. The whole wsjtx.

Be sure that disk has not the cache enabled. Pietro I2OIM Il mar 4 ott 2022, 15:28 JP Tucson, AZ <samcat88az@...> ha scritto:
