Hi,
In Windows system you can copy error messages in a message window by putting focus on it and using Ctrl-C to take a copy (no need to "paint") and by Ctrl-V you can paste it directly into your mail.
There could be same mechanism available in macOS, but I don't know how. The attachments in this mailing list will be compressed heavily. You may also use any third party service for that purpose and put corresponding link into your mail.
