Locked Can N3FJP logging software be used for WSJT-X logging? #logging

Can N3FJP logging software be linked into WSJT-X? I think I read somewhere this might be possible, but I don't see in any of the WSJT-X setup tabs any options for doing so. If so, what screen on WSJT-X do I need to be on to hook the two together?

Thank you

I use N3FJP with WSJT-X and it works fine.

N3FJP communicates using an API. Have a look at the settings menu (2nd item from the bottom). Check the "listen for WSJT-X" box. While on that menu item, click on the TCP-API enabled box if not already checked. Click the configure box. Enter the IP for the computer running WSJT-X. If both programs are running on the same computer then enter the standard null IP (127.0.0.1). The API should be the same as entered on the WSJT-X Settings, Reporting tab in the UDP server section (2238 in my case). Be sure that the UDP server is properly set (127.0.0.1 in my case).
That's all there is to it. The N3FJP documentation does a good job of describing this process.

I am doing it without any problem.

Open N3JFP ACL go to SETINGS Drop down to APPLICATION PROGRAMMING INTERFACE (API). The API window will open. In the middle of the screen will be WSJT-X INTERFACE. Check the box for LISTEN for WSJT-X. Now click the CONFIGURE Button and make note of the IP address and PORT number

Now Open WSJT-X. Go to FILE and SETTINGS. Click on the REPORTING tab. Under UDP SERVER make sure the UDP SERVER IP is the same as noted before in N3FJP and that the UDP SERVER PORT NUMBER is the same as in N3FJP. Check ACEPT UDP REQUESTS, NOTIFY ON UDP REQUEST and ACCEPT UDP REQUEST RESTORES WINDOW.

Go back to N3FJP and into the SETINGS, API screen. To the right of the WSJT-X Interface is a count up Timmer when it turns green you will see MSG RECIVED. If you do your done. If you don't recheck your work.

If you change the udp server does that preclude data going to pskreporter?

No. Reporting to PSKReporter still works even if you change UDP server address.

I do not believe so. That is a separate checkbox and therefore I believe it
will still be sent to pskreporter.
