Locked FT8 not receiving #FT8

hi..mike here ( AA4TN )..having problem with recevie on FT8....no activity on band activity and none on gridtracker on all bands. But when i change mode to FT$ all works great on all bands..nothing is working on FT8....this started about 5 days ago. i have unstalled and reinstalled everything....still dont work....can anyone help....thanks
