I forgot to attach the images. Good thing my head is attached.

I am not sure if the attached screen shots will come through. If there is a special way to attach/reference images, would someone on the Group let me know?

Anyway, take a look at the screen shots. This is the way the Menu appears on macOS. The only real trick here is to choose WSJT-X>Preferences or the shortcut cmd + ,

Double check that your Rx frequency on your transceiver matches the designated Rx frequency for whatever band you are using (e.g., 14.074 MHz on 20m band). Check DXmaps.com <http://dxmaps.com/> to see which band is active for digital modes. I see the most action on 20m. If there is anyone on 6m it is almost a certainty that it is FT8.

Don’t give up!

Bob,
Thanks for your advice, however exactly where is the frequency tab? I think I have the same WSJT-x. I had one QSO. He had a +22.

All Who Advised,

Thanks. I'm about 75% to get everything working.
1. I had to work with the soundcard. I had to turn off the speakers I had on when I listened to music on YouTube I'm a jazz fan
and I watch ham stuff and neglected to turn off my speakers.
.2. I have to figure out how to fix sound issues on 17M and 12M. There is intermittent silence when I try to work on these bands.

Not sure what you mean by "have your receive to get signals"

make sure you are on USB, have your receive RF set to get signals, go to
waterfall and find an active frequency to use

I had a similar issue with FT8 on a Yeasu FTDX-1200, WSJT-X 2.5.4 on Mac OS.

I traced the issue to an offset that somehow got set in FT8. This resulted in the wrong frequency being set on the transceiver. Check the lower half of the Frequencies tab. The offset should be zero.

How do we attach photos to our posts?

I finally was able to fix soundcard issues. My TS-480 can transmit. Now there is no receiving. Rarely I see aa station transmitting, The Band Activity Receiving is only less than 20 db. Most of the time it doesn't move at all. Is the problem with the software or the TS480?

BTW, a soundcard popped up in the Output Setting that allowed me to transmit.
