Locked JT Alert UDP Issues #decode
Nathan B
Hello everyone. Hoping someone might be able to help me here. Trying to get JT Alert running on my computer to work with WSJTX. I seem to get UDP errors however despite following the help file in the program. Any help would be appreciated.
I’m being told the program is unable to communicate with the WSJT x process. Udp port 2237 with standard IP address being used. Anyone have any similar suggestions? Also using HRD for connection and AClog from N3FJP for logging. |

Did you install. NET 6.0?

Change your address to 224.0.0.1 -- you will need to update HRD log too for the WSJTX connection and ACLog too.

I could not get N3JFP logging running on the Pi under wine, so I am running a Raspberry 4 8 gig for WSJT-X and a HP laptop with windows 7 for N3JFP logging. I am using the built in UDP servers to log in N3JFP on the laptop from WSJT-X on the Pi.
On the PC running N3JFP logging software, in the N3JFP logging software go to "Settings" at the second from the bottom of the list select "Application Programming Interface (API)". A window will pop up. In the middle of the popup window Check the box "Listen for WSJT-X". Then click on "Configure". The "WSJT-X Configuration" box will open. At the very top where it says "IP" enter the IP address of the PC running WSJT-X. Click "Done", click "Done" again. You are now done on the logging side. Go to the PC running WSJT-X and in WSJT-X select "File", then "Settings", select the tab for "Reporting". Under the heading of "Network Services" and " UDP Server" select the box for the UDP server IP address. enter the IP address of the PC running the N3JFP logging software. Check the boxes for "Accept UDP requests", "Notify on accepted UDP request" and "Accepted UDP request restores window". Click OK and close the Settings box. You are now done with the setup for WSJT-X side. At this point WSJT-X will log your calls in N3JFP on a remote PC. If you want to check that it is running correctly, Start WSJT-X on PC one and N3JFP on PC two. on PC two open the API interface again under settings and API, in the middle of the screen you will see WSJT-X Inter face and "Sec Elapsed" and a number. When the number gets to about 10 you should see the "Sec Elapsed" change to green and say "MSG Received" if you do, this means that it is working. |

Thank you for the help! Changing the IP address fixed it!
