Watch out for the newest Windows 11 update. I can't get sound to my 991A, despite fixing the reversion to default audio, etc.
CAT control works, receive audio works, I can get audio to speakers, but not to radio. It's probably something simple, but I haven't figured it out, yet. |

On some previous updates it has been necessary to uninstall audio devices and reinstall them. Been quite a while since that has happened.

Sounds like that could be the case. Mike W9MDB On Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 08:21:09 AM CDT, Chuck - KY4CU <k4cay.chuck@...> wrote:

OK, I figured it out. The TX audio setting for the radio sound card was reset to 100% by the update. In my situation, I need it around 50%. Apparently, the ALC was locking it down completely.

It looks like the 991A should be able to use DT-G (DT Gain) to adjust the tx audio level instead of using the Windows controls. It's on the Multi-knob menu

Can you try that? It's a bit better to do audio adjustments in analog space rather than the computer digital space. Mike W9MDB On Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 09:18:56 AM CDT, Chuck - KY4CU <k4cay.chuck@...> wrote:
