Locked All is going well here with 2.6.0-rc1 #mainscreen
All the buttons are a game changer for sure. Been needed a long time. Thanks.
I would like to suggest one minor change. Instead of the top button [H] just toggling between F/H, which is great, why not have it toggle in/out of ANY preselected special mode by changing the Special Operating Activity enable/disable option instead. Example, last weekend for the VHF Contest and the previous ARRL Digital Contest, folks were just typing TEST into the CQ dialog box and not really in the contest mode. Being able to drop out of any CM and into normal FT8 to work them and then click again to be back in CM would have been great. -- 73's George - WB5JJJ Hamshack Holine #4969 Hams over IP #100105 |

Seldom if ever, is fast switching needed in WSPR mode. So, no need for a button.
Best bet is to fast switch between whatever mode is selected under the Special Operating Activity section by enable/disable that section. This would be like drilling down to that point and unchecking the box only then having to do the same to get back into whatever CM you were in before. This is where confusion is most prevalent with new users when it comes to contesting. -- 73's George - WB5JJJ Hamshack Holine #4969 Hams over IP #100105 |

If additional buttons are to be added, Contest Mode should be a priority. Lot of quick switching between normal and CMIt would be better if WSJT could switch automatically to contest mode and back again. That is WSJT should always send the exchange wanted by the other QSO partner and then after the QSO go back to the mode you you prefer. As WSJT can display a window "Change to xx contestmode" it might as well just switch to that contestmode. 73, Palle, OZ1RH. |

1) You have the wSJTX window and minimum width 2) Your text magnification is inappropriately affecting the labels in those buttons. Do the labels in the "Log QSO", "Stop", etc. buttons fully fill their width or is there substantial margin? I'm not seeing "label overflow" on a small (1440 x 900) screen with *no* text magnification. 73, ... Joe, W4TV On 2022-06-18 12:57 AM, JTAlert Support (VK3AMA) wrote:
