Am I doing something wrong or is there a format issue?

Once I got everything working on my G90, I made a few contacts on ft8.

I created the qso for each. I then copied the adif file and uploaded it to lotw.

Even though the adif file contained the grid square field for the contacts when I viewed the qsos on lotw the qth field was blank.

LotW: you specify YOUR UL in ADIF (either via TQSL or with proper ADIF data).
Your corespondent locator is obtained from his data: so you need to have
LotW confirmed QSO with proper data from his side. Some 95 % of LotW users
managed to fill up TQSL data with own locator.
