Question: in step 2 fox gave me -24 and after my reply (step 3) in step 4 gave a new report -23. I suppose that this means already have decoded my reply (if didn’t have read he must gave again the same report -24 but, A) why didn’t gave rr73? B) Am I wrong?

Yes...compound callsigns will work but the Fox will not add the suffix to any of their transmissions so your /QRP will not be in the answer.
I just tested it.

Hi. I wonder if compound callsigns work on F/H mode 73

Thank you. I wonder why fox in step 4 gave different report (-23) instead of rr73 (assuming that if didn't decoded my answer the report must repeated the same: -24)

Michael Black

They must have decoded you a bit earlier at -24 and your step3 decoded at -23.
Your signal level was borderline decodable so they may have dropped you after step 2 and had to re-enable you after step 4. They just weren't seeing your signal report....-24 is really the hairy edge for WSJTX.

If they have answered ok, it'll be my first qrp qso with tx5n (power 5w antenna doublet). Waiting the next dxped now hi 73
