I would recommend uninstalling the old version and then installing the new version. Your settings will not be affected. Anthony Jeffries On 10/29/21 12:49 PM,

Tnx guys, i know how to install, but my question was "do I need to remove the old version or not?" . The manual is muet abouth that, unless of coarse I missed it?It's easy enough to uninstall so why don't you just do that first. Having said that Ubuntu does not allow me to install a new version before uninstalling the current version. Roger G#4HZA |

Freddy, ON7VQ,
The link by Bill, G4WJS, is certainly a valid method to update your wsjtx. Myself, I download the package from https://www.physics.princeton.edu/pulsar/k1jt/wsjtx.html and use the "Gdebi Package Installer" by right clicking on the entry in the Downloads directory. 73 Tom N4FWD |

Hi everyone,
I currently run wsjt-x 2.3.0 on Ubuntu 21.10. I plan to upgrade, but can not find precise instruction on how to manage this. Do I need to remove de previous version, or is it ok to simply download and install the latest version? Tnx for your help! Freddy, ON7VQ |
