I want to ‘start fresh’ with WSJT. Deleting the program and reinstalling made no difference. I want to delete all the ‘QSO data’ within WSJT so as to be able to make use of the COLORS feature. How to do it? |

How to do it?OM, I'm not sure I understand your requirement, the purpose of the WSJT-X log file is to record QSOs, unless you did not make the QSOs in your WSJT-X log file, i.e. they were all some sort of test or practice QSOs you do not wish to record, then I don't see the issue. If you really do want to reset you log then, as Reino has suggested, renaming the wsjtx_log.adi file (found in the WSJT-X log fies directory "Menu->File->Open log directory") will allow WSJT-X to create a fresh log file when it needs to log a QSO. 73 Bill G4WJS. |

Thank you for your answer. I did what you suggested but no luck. The program still - somewhere - has all my previous QSO's, all of which I want to delete. It's very strange. My objective here is to 'start over' and one of the nice features of the program is 'colors' which highlights, for example, unworked countries. In my case no received calls are in color. (Makes sense since I have worked them all which is why I'm starting over). Am I overlooking the obvious? BTW, the appropriate boxes are checked in the 'colors' menu.

I use a free program that removes every remnant, all files, registry entries, anything that's usually left over after uninstalling whichever program you choose and it has done a great job for me. It's called IoBit Uninstaller 11 Free and can be downloaded at https://www.iobit.com/en/advanceduninstaller.php I've used several programs by IoBit Software for many years and they all work great! You will definitely get a fresh start after using it, but if you have any old log files you decide you want to keep make sure you make a backup copy before running this program! I deleted the wsjtx_log.adi file and still no colors show except for green on CQ is msg (which is selected). I have selected a number of colors boxes and did restart the program after deleting the log file. Is there something else 'hidden' causing the program to think a log file still exists. Again, I don't care about any previous QSO data - just want 'colors' to work.

So far I have not seen anyone suggest doing anything about resetting the colors in WSJT-X. From WSJT-X, 1. Go to the File drop down menu. 2. Select Settings. 3. Click on the Colors tab 4. Have you checked the "Settings->General->Show DXCC, grid, and worked-before status" option in WSJT-X?
