Locked Rescan ADIF file.... #TechnicalHelpQuestion

pieter@...

Good day all. I have asked WSJT-X several times to read the ADIF file again so that I can keep up which grids I have worked. If I check it in DX Atlas, it is noticeable that grids often appear that I have already worked. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Pieter,

it is not clear exactly what is not working as you expect. Are you saying that with "New Grid" or "New Grid on Band" checked in "Settings->Colors" you are seeing CQ calls with gridsquares included highlighted in those colours even though you have worked the gridsquare before using WSJT-X? If so then please open your WSJT-X ADIF log in a basic editor like Notepad.exe and locate the prior QSO record and let us know what the record contains.

Hi Bill, I'm using DX Atlas. There I manually entered my worked grids. I have instructed WSJT-X to display the grids that I have not yet worked with (ie NOT the grids per band) with a background color black and the text is white. I've told WSJT-X to re-read the ADIF file, but every now and then a grid I've worked on is shown as a grid I haven't worked yet.

I called a station in the grid KM18 and WSJT-X told me I wouldn't have worked it yet, I opened the ADIF file and it said the following for grid KM18 "<call:6>SV1EAG> <gridsquare:4 >KM18 <mode:4>MFSK <submode:3>FT4 <rst_sent:3>-06 <rst_rcvd:3>-18 <qso_date:8>20210914 <time_on:4>1655 <qso_date_off:8>20210914 <time_off:4 >1656 <band:3>20m <freq:9>14.074500 <station_callsign:4>PD4P <my_gridsquare:6>JO22FF <tx_pwr:3>20W <eor>"

I have again given the command a number of times to read the ADIF file again, but it keeps doing it. To solve this problem I switched to the Grid Tracker program.

The same happened with a call in IO83 "<call:6>2E0VXI> <gridsquare:4>IO83 <mode:4>JT65 <rst_sent:3>-08 <rst_rcvd:3>-00 <qso_date:8>20160828 <time_on: 4>1943 <qso_date_off:8>20160828 <time_off:4>1943 <band:3>20m <freq:9>14.074500 <station_callsign:4>PD4P <my_gridsquare:6>JO22FF <tx_pwr:3>20W <eor>

Hi Pieter,

sounds like you have the "Settings->Colors->By Mode" option checked, that will check worked before information separately for each mode.
