Locked Request to Yaesu rig owners #Cat_RigControl
Hi All,
due to some recent Hamlib updates to resolve long standing issues with band changing on modern Yaesu rigs it has become necessary to do some urgent tests to verify correct behaviour. This concerns the following rigs and their variants: FT-450 FT-891 FT-950 FT-991 FT-2000 FTdx1200 FTdx3000 FTdx5000 FTdx9000 FTdx101 FTdx10 I am looking for owners of one of these rigs who are willing to run a short test to gather diagnostics to verify correct Hamlib behaviour. It will require downloading and installing a test version of WSJT-X and running a short test plan, then sending back a log file. It should only take about 30 minutes to complete. If the test passes that will be all, if there are failures there will be an opportunity to help with further tests to help with fixing any defects found. The urgency is because I want to complete this exercise on as many of the above rig models before the imminent General Availability (GA) release of WSJT-X v2.3.0. Without this verification we will not be able to ship with the latest Hamlib library code, which means many recent defect repairs and support for new rigs will not be available. I currently have access to to an FT-2000 so that one is already dealt with. Thanks in advance. 73 Bill G4WJS. |

Hi Bill. Somewhat off you particular topic, however I see some Hamlib updates have taken place. I wonder if you ever managed to find out why selecting Flexradio powersdr for the radio doesn't work for my flex 5000? Using v2.2.2 73 Geoff.

Hi All,Hi all, thanks to those who have kindly responded so far. I will initially chose one of you for each rig model to do the tests, on a first replied - first chosen basis, so apologies to those who don't get chosen, your offer is still much appreciated. We have quite good coverage so far but no responses yet from owners of the following models: FT-950 FTdx9000 FTdx10 73 Bill G4WJS. |

I don't know if anyone has offered up an FTDX-3000, but I would be willing to test using mine as time permits.

Hi Geoff, did you mean PowerSDR? That's not available as I know it. Flex 1500/3000/5000 are supported by TS-2000 emulation. 73 Phil GM3ZZA On 20 Jan 2021 16:39, "geoff wiggins via groups.io" <g4xmj@...> wrote:

Hi Phil. Yes I did. The drop down menu for radio lists flexradio powersdr
as an option only it doesn't work. I am using TS 2000 and that's
fine. I just wondered, as it was listed, why it doesn't work. 73 Geoff. On 20/01/2021 19:01, Philip Rose via

I have an FTdx5000 but I am not using the RC version just the last regular version. I had issues with the RC but I do not remember what the problem was. I went back to the regular release Neil Foster N4FN |

The delay is because of some issues discovered by a local tester with one of the target rig models which I want to get fixed before letting you all loose on the test code, it will save us all time in the long run. I am still looking for an FTdx9000 user who might be able to contribute? 73 Bill G4WJS. |

I have an FT-990 running HRD Version 6.7.0.323 for rig control. WSJT-X v2.2.2. When I click on the band selector box the radio responds correctly all except for the Mode. Whatever mode the radio was left in stays there. Just a nuisance but as long as you're working in that area I thought you might take a look at that.
