Locked Problem with wsjtx_log.adi #logging

David Kaplan

I recently rebuilt my Mac fresh to get rid of years of “crud”. My extensive backup system missed the wsjtx_log.adi file. (That won’t happen again!)

I wasn’t too concerned as I had my MacLoggerDX logging program export as ADIF all my contacts which I copied in to the log file after the several entries that the program had already made.

Unfortunately, it seems that WSJT-X is showing as new, countries that are already in my log.

What can I check. Does the extra information in my MLDX log confuse WSJT-X as it only as a subset of that info?

Thanks.

Hi David,

extra ADIF fields are no problem. The DXCC Entities of prior QSOs are determined purely from the call prefixes and overrides in the AD1C CTY.DAT file shipped with WSJT-X. It should be working. When WSJT-X starts up it loads the worked before information from its ADIF log file, when that is done, after a few seconds, it reports how many worked before records have been created on the status bar at the bottom left of the main window. How many is it showing?

Thanks for the tip about the status bar, I had never noticed it before. Good info to know.

I thought I had worked HB before, but it turns out it was JT65, not FT8.
