Locked Bug in WSJT-X 2.3.0 rc2
Lance Collister, W7GJ <w7gj@...>
In FT8, the TX is disabled after I send 73, EVEN THOUGH THAT OPTION IS NOT CHECKED IN THE SETTINGS screen...

This is the way it works. That setting is only for the
non-semiautomatic modes. On 11/26/2020 12:49 PM, Lance

That is very frustrating, especially when operating portable. I would REALLY LIKE to be able to have the choice of the program continue on to XMIT CQ, especially when I am out aiming the antenna and come back in to find that the program has basically turned off :-( This used to work much better.

I don’t find it a problem to turn ”Enable TX” back on after logging a contact. I might lose 30s of transmission time if I do it a second or two late, but ho hum.

Automatic transmission is not a good practice. The program could make 20 QSOs if it is calling CQ when you are outside.

That would turn it into an automatic machine, which is not the
intent. The authors expect someone to be in front of the
computer to control the rig. On 11/26/2020 1:49 PM, Lance Collister,

Not so, automation can go from CQ to a QSO, if the Call first is ticked, until logging phase of the QSO. Automation stops there and user needs either to log QSO or just re-enable TX for the next transmission. 73, Reino OH3mA -----Original Message-----
