The slider to set the zero offset is bias applied to the waterfall and/or the spectrum display. The zero offset and gain are setting the offset and slope respectively of the displayed data allowing you to get the minimum and maximum indications exactly where you want them. 73 Bill G4WJS. |

Another factor is that the final values have to be mapped onto a finite number of screen pixels so there is a small truncation or rounding error (I'm not sure which) in displaying the results. 73 Bill G4WJS. |
