Locked long intergration modem

David Michael Gaytko // WD4KPD <wd4kpd@...>

just wonder if there be out there a modem that given a long t/r period could be used on our bands.

am thinking about NASA data from the Voyager that seems to be integrated over many hours.

depending on the power level, a t/r period of 3 to 5 minutes would not be too bad. remember jt44, and the cumulative average under jt65.

could be something interesting to work with.

Lentus digital mode by the same fellow that develops multiPSK might fit your needs. Five minute transmissions and seems to go about 6dB deeper into the noise than WSPR. I've used it for testing from 80 through 10 meters and it does work quite well.

Btw bear, I run the lentus@... list feel free to sub if you're not now.
Same goes for anyone else interested in the mode.

HI David,

I'm not sure when, but I'm pretty sure Joe and the other developers are
going to integrate WSPR-15 mode in WSJTX which is 15min TX/RX sequence I
believe, designed specifically for the low bands.

I don't know much about Lentus Digital (sounds interesting though), so I
can't really compare the two performance wise.
