locked Installed 2.1.0 64 bit and now getting "Rig Control Error"
AA3AE
Just installed 2.1.0 64 Bit on Win 10 Pro using OmniRig and JTAlertX with Log4OM with Yaesu 3000. All was working prior, now receiving Rig Control Errors every 15-30 minutes. All configurations checked. Any thoughts what's going on and if there is a fix?

I also have been getting random rig control errors also on my 3000 connection.
Very infrequent but touching nothing, rig, computer, etc., it just pops up on the screen that it lost the connection.
I found that if I pull the USB plug from the rig to my laptop and plug it back in, that solves the issue, ie. a reconnect.

I am seeing this as well. I am using Win4YaesuSuite with my FTDX-3000 on Windows 10

Hi Bill,
are you using Omni-Rig as a rig control
intermediary in your setup as well?

Hi Bill,
Omni-Rig is a rig control server that
allows multiple applications to share the CAT port of a rig.
If you are getting rig control errors
then it helps to include the details of the error message. For
your convenience you can copy the full details of a WSJT-X error
message box to the Windows clipboard by hitting CTRL+C while the
message box has keyboard focus.

Sound an awful lot like the USB port going into power save/sleep mode. Make sure that USB is not set to save energy in the Power control panel. (I’m not a Windows guy, so maybe Google a bit for the appropriate place for your OS)

Bill,
Yes, using Omnirig at AA3AE. The configuration was rock solid until this update. Similar problem with Log4OM several months ago, they updated the program to ignore/catch misc data strings. 73, AA3AE

Bill, No. I do use Com0Com to allow WSJT-X to interface to the radio via Win4YaesuSuite - Win4YaesuSuite has a mechanism to allow up to four additional application to control the radio via virtual Com ports - but I am only using WSJT-X at the moment.

Sounds like it but its not. It really is random, no set time.
Sometimes it does not do it for days, I suspect if might be hardware (old computer) and/or me hitting a USB cable accidentally.

Hi Bernie,
more details please. WSJT-X rig control
errors come with a details panel that states exactly what the
error was.
For your convenience you can copy the
*full* text of the error message to the Windows clipboard by
hitting CTRL+C while the message box has keyboard focus.
Just in case you are in doubt of what
that means (many seem to lack this basic keyboard skill) - left
mouse button click the title bar of the message then press the
CTRL and C keys on your keyboard simultaneously. The captured
message can then be pasted into an email message by hitting CTRL+V
while entering text into the email message body.
