Alright, problem solved. Big thanks to Mike for the debugging. Turns out it was a failure between the PC and the id10t interface, aka dying mouse. Clicked on the poor fellas left ear one too many time

I second this. It may be best to make it a selectable option so it won't trip up some of our older ops that have grown to expect one behavior and get surprised with something unexpected.
