FT4 use out of contests

Chuk and Ron, Thanks for your answers. Last 2 days I ran FT4 out of contest and wasn't sure if I was having an ethical behaviour. Now I know it was and it is better this way. 73, Miguel, CT1EFT

Simple. Do a Google search for "Radio Contests this week" or similar. You can then go to the rules for each contest.

Absolutely it's ok to use FT4 outside of contests. In fact, when the designated frequencies for FT8 are full of stations, I will often run FT4 instead. In many cases the additional sensitivity of FT8

Martin, That was the problem, but it is also a bug. I had been listening for C92RU on 80m FT8 F/H and saw a spot for ZL7DX on 20m FT4. I moved to 20m and set mode to FT4. There was no indication that

Not stray characters ... it shows that the decode was done using 'a priori' decoding. This is covered in the user guide here: https://www.physics.princeton.edu/pulsar/k1jt/wsjtx-doc/wsjtx-main-2.3.0.h

Hi Darin, Completely normal, that is a function of the AP Enable selection under Decode. Look up AP in the manual.
