Using FT8 and just changed band to 15 meters. Initiated a normal QSO and received a free text [TNX 2BND 73] at the end. Auto Seq responded with "2BND KM4RL 73". The DX Call Window was changed to '2BND

For general HF work I choose to call CQ in the time slot with the strongest signals. There is a benefit to having all the RX signals near the same level without one or more big signals in your RX. Bob

I use JTSync for this. It will average your RX decodes and set your clock, or you can select one station and set your clock to match it. I normally run Meinberg and you must stop the ntp service in Me

Did you try a power cycle? I've had several different RS-232 interfaces lock up and reboots did not fix the problem, but powering off both ends solved it. It was a rare occurrence. 73 de KM4RL Bob
