When I was seeing this, I determined it was RF getting into the computer. A ferrite with a couple of turns of the cable between the radio and computer, located at the computer end, resolved the issue.

WSJTx settings for 160m JA split op
Go into the WSJT SETUP menu and select the Frequencies tab. Then on the table Right-click and select Insert. Put 1.908 in the box and click. OK. Then back to the WSJT screen and select that frequency

Check your computer clock with some reference. While Windows does provide a time service, I've found it is not adequately accurate for WSJT-X and FT-8 modes. I personally use a free software Meinberg

If one uses the Data A mode and uses the single USB cable between the computer and radio, none of the other settings or values is required. No VOX, no DTS, no DTR and the TX EQ is automatically bypass
