Hi Mike,
can you provide a list of the commits
that are since 4.3 and will be merged to the 4.3.1 release please?

There's going to be a 4.3.1 bugfix release. I think that's what we should release with WSJTX. What's your drop dead date for integrating if we publish it? Mike W9MDB

THANK YOU Mike for working with me on this. Hi Gene, thanks for the update. I had rather hoped that the Hamlib version that was shipped with WSJT-X v2.5.0 RC6 could be the one used for the v2.5.0 GA release, but it seems not :( 73 Bill G4WJS. |

Yes the well pipe also has a ground pipe on the opposite side of the house. The electrical inspector made sure that was done when my generator was installed. I will check for resistance also when I get back down there

But is your well pump pipe bonded to the house ground outside? That's what's required. There's a lot of impedance between the two. Test for AC voltage first between your bonding bus and the house ground (like the electrical outlet ground). Then test resistance....it should be < 2 ohms. That's where your computer is grounded for example to you have different grounding points going on. Mike W9MDB

That's RF on the USB cables. Do you have chokes on them? Moving stuff around can rearrange all the RF being picked up by every cable in your house. Also...what do you have for your shack grounding system? Many ops do the rig-in-the-ground-outside-the-shack without bonding it to the house ground which can cause additional problems like you are experiencing. It's an electrical code requirement in the USA. Mike W9MDB

I am able to use the icom re-ba1 software to remotely connect to both radios now. What is puzzling me is why I can’t hook these use cables up to the powered usb hub or the back of my Computer like I had them before. The same com port numbers come up when I move them to those spots but no connectivity. Gerry Klotz Kb9pki On Sep 11, 2021, at 7:01 AM, William Smith <w_smith@...> wrote:

Mike,
I think your time would be better spent
elsewhere. Users who use VOX type PTT on rigs that do not accept
CAT QSY commands while in transmit mode must not set the option
that allows this in WSJT-X. Also not setting any VOX hang time to
minimum is going to trigger the same issue with the same sort of
rigs. A generic solution is not required and will likely cause
more issues for those using Doppler tracking and other facilities
that require CAT QSY commands while transmitting. This is a setup
issue, please don't over complicate the situation.

I need somebody who is experiencing this frequency setting problem fairly regularly to see about a fix for hamlib. I imagine it would be somebody using Fake It and not Rig Split and either vox keying or a hardware PTT. Mike W9MDB

[Edited Message Follows] It is normal for the rig to do this if you have ‘fake it’ set in WSJT-X. It’s purpose is to keep your Transmitted signal near the middle of your band filter.
To fix it I have to reboot the PC and power cycle the rig, so I think it is caused by Windows not correctly accessing the cat control for some reason.

Well, you should clean up, but you should check as you reassemble one piece at a time that it’s working.

Start from first principles: Unplug all radio cables, use device manager to see what COM ports are on your P, plug in ONE radio, see what COM ports appear, set up that one radio in WSJT-x and get it working properly, rinse, lather, repeat. 73, Willie N1JBJ On Sep 10, 2021, at 8:06 PM, Gerald Klotz <KB9PKI@...> wrote: |

Which versions will support the upcoming release of Win 11?
Is anyone WSJT-x on a windows insider build of win 11?
Just curious
