Good Morning,
I believe your system is operating properly. Take a look a section 4.2 of the Users Guide for an explanation: https://physics.princeton.edu/pulsar/k1jt/wsjtx-doc/wsjtx-main-2.5.4.html Robie AJ4F On Fri, Mar 18, 2022 at 3:26 AM Buffalo Berger <buffaloberger@...> wrote: Hello im running a ft891 signalink and windows 11. |

Thanks guys. As far as the wiring goes, it is correct because I have been using this setup on a Win10 laptop for a few years now. The only difference is the new Win11 laptop.

And the Codec driver shows up in the Device Manager. I will work some more on it later today, it has to be something I am doing wrong. I have never dealt with "permissions" before so that could be an issue. Stan – WA2UET In Ghent NY -----Original Message-----

I'll try to help you. May be some number is wrong, but only the the idea is important. If you tune, i.e., 14.040 Mhz in a USB radio, audio band will be 14,040,000 - 14,042,700 Hz. If you tune, i.e, 14.040 Mhz in a CW radio, audio band will be ~ 14,040,600 - 14,040,850 Hz. But WSJT considers the center (theoric tuning) band at 1,5 Khz, CW at ~ 800 Hz, so your pass band is shifted of about 700 hz and you will have a bandpass of ~250 hz centered at 1500Hz for WSJT. You will receive 1.4-1.6 khz, as you said. To deconde, i.e., my signal at 500 Hz you need shift the tuning down of 1 kHz. I hope it's clear, it's more difficult to explain in writing that it actually is. Try to tune 14.039 Mhz and you will receive the 400-600Hz segment of WSJT 20 meters band (conventionally at 14.040 Mhz). Pietro I2OIM . |

Hi
I just made my 1st 11 or so contacts and logging everything works great. But I'm using dxkeeper as my primary log. I don't mind syncing lotw and eqsl. That's not the problem. Lotw says all logs are correct and they're downloaded. Eqsl States that x was uploaded and 0 errors and x rejected. X=8 Then checking dxkeeper log page they are not written into the log from any service. Except 1 that I did by accident. I did check the box [change mode to rtty] Any help.? |

Hello im running a ft891 signalink and windows 11.
I used kb9vbr YouTube video to set up everything and it works flawlessly. Except the freq wants to walk down the band 500 KC at a time. Is there away to stop this. A different config or something? |

If your transmit freq is set to 1500. Split or not you’ll be in the
1500-1550 slot. Split does absolutely nothing to change this. On Thu, Mar 17, 2022 at 19:48 Robert Lorenzini <bob@...> wrote: Folks please use split.Dennis M. Hi Stan,
In short the "I see only vertical stripes" indicates that WSJT-X does not get any audio and tries to present zero values of something similar. You have various possible reasons for this situation. The USB connection to the Signalink is not established or Signalink does not receive any audio from your rig. You may try to disconnect USB cable and see whether the USB codec disappears and re-appears at plugging USB back. The connection to your FT450 from Signalink depends on the cable to the DATA connector needs to be properly wired and I have an impression that there is also settings and wirering inside the Signalink that of course need to be correct. The last issue is Windows audio settings and security permissions, but 11 may be a bit different than 10 and I have only 10. 73, Reino OH3mA |

Looks like a 250Hz wide CW filter centered on 600 -- not surprising for CW.

Now seeing your filter width I'm afraid you're out of luck with that rig and WSJTX in any mode. You could get the WSPR signals within your filter width by increasing the WSPR frequencies 900Hz in the Frequencies tab...but they won't decode down there. I'm afraid you're out of luck. Do you just want to decode or transmit too? Mike W9MDB On Thursday, March 17, 2022, 07:48:47 PM CDT, Mark, WD4ELG <wd4elg@...> wrote:

Picture is very low resolution. But I think you should be able to do the
math and detune your receiver manually and end up transmitting and receiving right where you want. I have no IC-7300 transmit power on FT8. Have been running FT8 for three years on IC-7300 from Windows 10 laptop with no problems. But laptop gunnysacked and had to replace it. Downloaded latest WSJT-X version and got it running. Worked fine— until it didn't. It quit literally between QSOs. The PTT triggers and audio from USB Codec is heard in rig monitor, but there is no RF output. Trace shows on touchscreen as if transmitting, but there is no ALC indication.
Rig operates normally in all other modes, full output, normal ALC. One clue: just before the rig quit on FT8, I noticed the ALC meter acting oddly — it would spike to full, then gradually fall off until about 1/4 value. I have checked and double-checked all the Windows sound settings, and they all appear nominal. The only anomaly I can see is that the USB Codex has a prefix: 2-USB Codex. Not sure what that's about. Anyone have any ideas? Regards. |
