Thank you Dan! I thought of everything but Restore and it worked. Win 10 automatically created a restore point on 12/27 and I used it and now everything is working again.

WSJT-X crashes when counterpart has a "/" in the callsign...

Hi,
as soon as my counterpart has a "/" inside the call (e.g. RN2F/3, doesn't care where the "/" is inside the call), WSJT-X v2.5.3 69f9ec 64bit crashes here on my Win 10.

When you say relatively recent, how many years are you thinking would be reasonable?
And yeah, when my Mac Minis are 'obsolete' (5-7 years) they make _killer_ Linux boxes!

Most of the W10-W11 upgrade failures are because the motherboard does not have the Security Chip they require.

We mostly use ceramic for decoupling and RF suppression.
The film capacitor would be used for Audio stuff where the ESR parameter is important. In this case 28 mOhms.

I did, yes- radio and computer were power cycled.
In fact, left it all off overnight - went to bed. The next day, powered everything up and (knock wood) it all worked- haven't had a glitch in two

Both are relatively high Q which means they can form resonances with stray inductance. Don't forget the series elements like ferrite beads to reduce the Q of any resonances.

He says ceramic caps but his schematic shows polarized caps. Now I gotta find the module specs and find the maximum DC voltage, which IIRC is on the order

Hi,
Windows 11, wait a year or two. My machine (Ryzen 2600X) should support it as well as the motherboard (Gigabyte Aorus M) BUT UEFI through supported does not work and BIOS updates did not take.

Uninstall all your sound and serial port devices and reboot.In Device Manager be sure to turn on View/Show hidden devices -- and remove those too.
