you should probably be using "Settings->Radio->PTT Method->VOX" when using a correctly configured SignaLink USB interface, this letting the interface do PTT control without any interference.

I found a workaround on October 31, 2021.
After sending the RRR and before the other party finishes sending, click on Tx5 to select it and it will go smoothly.
