For the last few release versions and the rc's, I've had 2 and sometimes 3 stations on exactly the same offset or so very near, and all decoded, however there may have been even more. This happens

I was never aware of any 50hz boundary and I have ten of thousands of ft8 contacts in the log.
There is a slightly better chance of copying two stations if they are off by a few hz rather than

The 50Hz boundary is a complete myth. FT8/Ft4 will be happy anywhere in the audio pass-band.

I always click on a 50Hz boundary before transmiting and most other operators do too. If this is the convention, I wonder why WSJT-X doesn't, by default, override us to do that. Lately, I've noticed

If you are doing an UPDATE from the repositories (vs a new/fresh install), it should leave legacy programs alone and allow you to continue as things stood in FOCAL

I’m also using 706 and assuming you have baud set correctly and can connect

On the rig itself yeah 20m/USB, set

I had rc1, rc2 and rc3 without any crash.
But it's true, to revert to 2.4 is impossible without cleaning the system
manually... it's a bug, in my mind.
