I had rc1, rc2 and rc3 without any crash.
But it's true, to revert to 2.4 is impossible without cleaning the system
manually... it's a bug, in my mind.

Also, if you have an SSB filter installed, make sure it is OFF, so you'll have the maximum bandwidth possible for digital contacts.

With rc2 initially, I had the occasional crash, unlike any previous version I can remember. It did not appear immediately but apparently started after a Windows update. Perhaps a following Windows

what are you using for sound interface, you will need that installed then
you should be good to go ( at least start) also ft8/ft4 is USB for
all bands

I think that a narrow filter/bandpass will allow you to decode sooner but not more 'likely'.

When beginning WSJT-X operation (new day, new band) , I usually answer all (new to my log) CQs first, then proceed to calling CQ.
