Hi Niels,
Send me an example of your file that produces an inverted spectrum in MAP65, and I'll look into what's needed to fix it for you.

Sorry JP,
You should study a bit more history of the WSJT to note that originally it was really only weak signal reception via EME. Transmit powers were mostly at the kilowatt range.

Taking 50dB out of a 15-bit audio signal leaves about 5 bits for the D/A convertor. It takes 4 bits to overcome quantization error so the 1 extra bit is not a lot of headroom and that would be peak

I don't. This is on the screen of a 10 year old Asus K55A laptop running Linux. I have the windows tiled so I can see everything I need to in real time and anything farther back is just a click

Weak Signal != Low Power Tx
Weak Signal = Low level Rx
WSJTX helps you receive signals from another operator that have lower SNR than other modes. The other operator may be lost in the noise

When the transmission dropped out, how long did the drop out last? Was it for 2 seconds out of a transmit cycle or was it for multiple complete cycles? How many cycles?

So do you mean if you turn RPORT GAIN down you see the audio level in WSJT-X go down too?
The goal is WSJTX power slider at full scale, Windows Playback at -3dB, and 25W into the rig set at 50W.

Hi Mike
SSB OUT LEVEL only affects the receive output level at the RTTY/DATA jack.
RPORT GAIN should work as long as you have selected rear panel input. I use DATA-U for WSJT operating, but I agree
