Thanks to Bill, my problem has been solved! Turns out to be a 'quirk' between WSJTX 1.7 newer levels and my Signalink/K3. All is good now!

Hi Mike, it can be turned off in the rig menu I believe. All Kenwood transceivers have hardware handshaking by default AFAIK. I've no idea why it is not the default in the Hamlib capabilities.
