This may have been covered, but you are in USB and not LSB mode on your rig, correct? The wrong sideband will show lots of stuff on the waterfall, but won't decode . . .

if the interference is coming thru the modem.... put 4-5 loops into the
power cord and the ethernet cable if it is long enough... homemade choke
could be an interim fix

Hi,
I take only a specific issue. That setting is used only in special activities, when you have selected Hound mode. In normal operation it is not present at all.

Yes, VDSL2, Phil. Apparently each individual modem can have channels nulled out, at least on the uplink direction, which is what is causing the problem on 30m. I just haven't gone down this route yet

Sounds like you've done a good job of isolating the problem.
The problem could very well be the "wallwart" power supply that

Are you using VOX triggering via a SignaLink or such?
Make sure your rig audio device is NOT your default audio device. Computer sounds would then trigger PTT.

Hi Steve,
If it is VDSL you are talking about, the standard allows the service provider to not use frequencies in the ham bands. However in the UK, Openreach (who manage the phone network hardware)

Hi
Unfortunately "failing to decode FT8" could be caused by a range of things.
My checklist is pc time (I always get it set automatically), turn up volume
on the radio (confirms there are signals),

Semi-Break-In delay on that radio is Vox Delay
This is probably not the problem but try it anyway.
