The problem is that the watchdog also times out when sending CQ multiple times. It is cumulative - not per transmission.
It would be MUCH better to limit the number of re-transmissions to

Max transmits are in Settings/General -- bottom right where it says "Tx watchdog " it's by minutes instead of tranmissions so just multiply by 2 for FT8 transmissions.

Loss of decodes during Tx/Rx cycle
Hey folks...I thought I'd cross post this from another site to pick as many brains as possible. It's pretty perplexing.
If I'm simply monitoring with WSJT-X, the decoding happens like clockwork every

I run ALC in middle or full scale where showing heavy bar on my 7300's . I have 2 of them. Made thousands of FT8 contacts, but haven't tried MSK144. I have never had a complaint on signals.

I've just had an FT8 QSO, with no problem.
Is there a setting for MSK144 I need ?

I used to use FT8 and MSK144 a year or so ago, I had a rest and now am wanting to get back to it.
I've upgraded to the latest Ver of WSJT-x 2.01.

Ken,
1) the library development package you probably want in place of qt5libmultimedia-dev is qtmultimedia5-dev, and similarly for the other libraries, but check with synaptic.

Thank you for your answer Bo,
I am aware of the differences between JT65, JT9 and FT8.
I just wondered if this is normal because there was no problem at all when I was using version 1.9.1 and earlier.
