Thanks Robert - I chose "Scope" color, and it now looks like it used to. I don't know how the grey got in there!

Perhaps I wasn't completely clear, when win10 updated, it blew out my profiles, my saved passwords, etc.
It took me nearly 5 freaking hours just to get back to where I was!

Hello Richard
Have look at N1MM+ it does everything you ask and works very well. There's a section in the manual regarding running with WSJT-X, when you select log qso in WSJT-X it is sent to N1MM+

Hi John,
Tried going through what you suggested. Still no joy. As something else to try, I installed a USB sound card on my system. Set the system to select this source for both in and output.

Richard,
Wsjt-x also produces an wsjtx.adi file!
That is the file that you upload to QRZ or LoTW (the later thru tqsl).

I use TQSL to upload QSOs directly from the WSJTX log file at the end of each session. No need for a separate program.

I agree with John, WIN10 has a nasty habit of reorganizing com ports and audio assignments. Best fix is to restart the computer before messing with the software. This allows updates to complete.

Thanks John,
Settings->Sound->Advanced Settings options->App volume and devicepreferences is where I did most of my poking around. I saw the drop down boxes in the form associated with each app
