If the com ports are hidden in the device manager that means that the device has not been detected. I would suggest:
1. Try a different USB port
2. Try the device on a different

I wonder if you are using N1MM+? I noticed that it was occasionally listing some shorter variations of the call I clicked on. Ie: KF2T# also listing KF2T in the lower part of the entry window.

wsjtx_status.txt
I use CCleaner, one of the widely used computer utilities.
Everytime I run it, I get this from the WSJTX program:
"c/users/name/AppData/Local/Temp/WSJT-X/wsjtx_status.txt" not working.
Is there a way

I wonder if this might not be a JT-Alert problem? Like you, I get alerted by JT-Bridge (I'm on a Mac) when KF2T# calls appear (I'm KF2T), but I don't recall WSJT-X stopping my activity.

I too had trouble after the last Windows update and that was before any upgrade to WSJT-X. I located the hamlib app and reinstalled it. It reported an error during the install which I ignored and

i use an 2nd monitor and there are normal the WSJTx-2.1.2 Prgs.. JTAlertX etx.
there is NO icon in the taskbar.

if the COM port you have for CAT control does not appear under the "Ports (COM & LPT)" section of Windows Device Manager then you have an operating system issue.

That most of the issue. COM Ports do not show up in the Device Manager. You can only see them in the "Hidden" files.

the RC1 does not start when i click the icon.
for abouth 5 or 6 seconds i see the "sand-watch" from the cursor,
after this is nothing... silence... no error.. nothing

The hamlib team are very active at the moment. They are preparing to release 1.4 shortly, but the mod rate is not really slowing down enough to give them a window – too many new
