Re: WSJT-X to N1MM+ logging for Field Day
Hi Rich and all,
further to this important information for those intending to use WSJT-X modes during Field Day, there is a known defect that has crept into WSJT-X v2.2.2 (sorry, that's my fault)

I was never able to get the connection between N1MM and WSJT-X to work. Does it now function properly? I’d pretty much decided to log contacts manually.

WSJT-X to N1MM+ logging for Field Day
Strictly speaking this is about N1MM+, not WSJT-X, but we know that a lot of users of the N1MM+/WSJT-X combination monitor this group. If you're not going to operate FT8 or FT4 with the N1MM+/WSJT-X

Hi Mike,
OK, make sure the rig is not in memory mode. Also with any of the FT-817/857/897(D) models you need to leave "Settings->General->Allow Tx frequency changes while transmitting"

I am using Linux version of WSJTx 2.2.2 - Just for giggles I tried all FT-xxx versions after FT-857 failed (none worked). Then going back to 2.2.0 I confirmed that my rig doesn't

Thanks for the advice. Got tire of dealing with it last night and shut everything down. This morning everything is working as normal.

Hi Gwen,
I thought the latest GalliumOS had done away with the proprietary audio drivers for the Chomebook built in sound card, and that it was useable by Linux applications

Hi Bill,
assuming you have selected the correct audio device for input in the WSJT-X settings, then the next place to look is the Windows 10 Camera and Microphone Privacy settings to ensure WSJT-X

I not sure why you feel embarrassed or humbled, you found a defect in WSJT-X that should not have happened, it is us who are at fault! We welcome issue reports from users.

You shouldn't have to if you are on the >>> TAB 1 <<<< of the messages. Contest modes to not populate if you use TAB 2.

I think someone's done good marketing with the Windows plug-n-play advertising. MS have moved to a subscription model, and also Windows as an Appliance "seems to be a thing too"..

Hi Greg,
Actually, on FD, as I understand it, most work on "low" power of 100W or less - the natural power output of their rig, in order to run on emergency power; i.e. generator or solar & battery.
