Re: Decoding weaker signals
Ronnie W5SUM, Wow that solved the problem, I had the filters to tight, I opened them up and now I am decoding tons of stations even the ones with negative signal reports. Thanks for your help! Tom

Yes , just reduce power. Send your message encoded into 11 digits (as I remember) sent multiple times and accomplish it all in 15 seconds.

Tom I has having the same issue when someone told me to open my filters wide open, at least 3KC wide.. I did and that took care of the problem. I had been using my 400HZ filter.
Switched to my 2.8kc

Decoding weaker signals
I have noticed that the weakest signals that I decode are about 4dB yet I see where other stations are decoding maybe as low as -20dB. I sometimes get signal reports from stations that I contact that

Hi B,
My mistake was to name the post CW where I should have used Morse instead.
Thanks to your explanation, I understand much better.

Camerart,
Very slow CW is known as QRSS, other software used for that. I think it is essentially a visual decode.
Not sure what you mean "stepped wave". A WSPR signal is comprised of 4 very close
