I found that Com ports up to 8 are the only ones to work even though WSJT-X has a drop down box that goes higher than Com 8. My system was running PTT on Com 11 but I had to change everything on my XP

My experience was that anything above COM 9 would not control the PTT. I used COM 6 and it works fine. -- Phil KA1GMN
