Kai,
This will depend on the logging app. If it outputs to ADIF, then ADIF has two fields TIME_ON and TIME_OFF, with obvious meaning. Also QSO_DATE and QSO_DATE_OFF. WSJT-X uses both TIME_ON and

I had somehow missed that little checkbox and now is all OK.

Standard logging time for a QSO
Because the issue keeps cropping up, I ask the following question:
What is the standard practice for logging the time of a QSO?
Is it the start time? Or the ending time?
Searching the archives doesn't

The DT can be off by as much as 5 seconds and still get a decode

We’re talking time offset (DF), not amount of signal time to decode.

Hi, Gary:
I think WSJT-X can decode with as little as 8 seconds of the ~13 second transmission.
Due to FEC I guess.

How can it do that? It only reports on signals that it decodes, and 4 seconds is well outside the maximum that will decode.
