Re: FT8 -- not decoding after transmit. Decodes fine for Receive Only
Curt,
I have observed that FT8 does not decode if the total CPU usage is high at the start of a receive cycle. In my case I had a logging program that had high cpu usage at the end

I found the problem. I installed WSJT-X on the laptop and everything worked fine, in that process I found that the USB cable that was plugged into the main computer was bad. I replaced it before I set

Changing bandwidth settings for FT-991A on OmniRig when using drop down band selector in WSJT-X
I have learned how to change the FT-991 .ini file in OmniRig so that it now changes mode to "D-U" correctly using the drop down band select in WSJT-X. I notice now that I often also need to change

How do you modify the exchange from standard to contest format? Would like to try a contest, but don’t know how to set the exchange Tnx in advance.

Well I setup WSJT-x to work with just the IC-7610
The Radio settings are the same as above in the screen shot.
Except Rig is now IC-7610 .
It seems to be setup but it does not transmit a signal.

Chuck I am sure you are correct.
HRD makes it hard to do certain radio stuff...
I use it to log also including WSJT-x.
I was hoping someone has went through this and has a solution.

If the graph is full of signals and the fox is calling cq, you double click on him and you call until the transmit stops, about 2 minutes, now the graph is empty and you here no signals for 30 seconds

Fred, to simplify and isolate the problem, you also might try running WSJT-X directly from your rig and bypass HRD entirely to see if HRD is the culprit. I'm a big fan of HRD. But paired with

Fred, I'm not sure WSJT-X is set up for that kind of split.
It seems to assume you will be within the same narrow pass band not split between 1.840 MHz and 1.908 MHz.
I could be wrong. It's been

Thank you Chuck.
Yes you are correct on my setup.
I usually have Fake it selected when I'm on normal FT-8.
When I try to split I get a rig error from WSJT-x and the frequency window on WSJT-x turns
