Re: FT4 and FT8 Contesting
Could that be because you're waiting for 73 and the other station has moved on? 73 is not part of a contest exchange. When one station has copied RRR or RR73, the QSO is complete. On 73, most of us

No RX or TX
Set up is: Lenovo lap top PC, Signalink USB, YAESU Ft-450D. I have used this set up combination since I started working WSJT-X 31 March 2019 with no problems.
Four weeks ago the 450D went into TX

Re: FT8 -- not decoding after transmit. Decodes fine for Receive Only
Hi Al,
Thanks for another good idea. I did transmit with zero power, and 50 watts, and the problem persists.

Re: FT8 -- not decoding after transmit. Decodes fine for Receive Only
Curt,
One further thought... Try transmitting with the PWR set to zero ( radio keyed but no rf out) and see if the high CPU load is still present..
Then I am out of ideas..

Re: Changing bandwidth settings for FT-991A on OmniRig when using drop down band selector in WSJT-X
Hi Charlie,
you can add extra CAT commands to the mode setting commands in the Omni-Rig .ini file for your rig. Work on a copy of the file so you can always refer back to the original.

I can switch to plain FT-8 it works great so to me that tells me

Curt,
I have observed that FT8 does not decode if the total CPU usage is high at the start of a receive cycle. In my case I had a logging program that had high cpu usage at the end

How do you modify the exchange from standard to contest format? Would like to try a contest, but don’t know how to set the exchange Tnx in advance.

Well I setup WSJT-x to work with just the IC-7610
The Radio settings are the same as above in the screen shot.
Except Rig is now IC-7610 .
It seems to be setup but it does not transmit a signal.
