Re: Duplicate logging with Fox/Hound
Bill,
What I was referring to is exactly when should the number of streams be changed? Obviously not during a TX sequence but is during an RX sequence OK?

Doesn't QRZ and LOTW Use a 30 minute window for logging conformation? And I believe it is standard when Updating the log it is 1 minute difference. It can be tedious to have it log as many times as

They should run fine without admin privs.
Also take a look at this app, I tried Dim 4 for awhile, and then switched to this one, I like its simplicity: http://www.timesynctool.com/

Re: Duplicate logging with Fox/Hound
Hi John,
hard to answer that definitively. If the signal reports start dropping and the rate decreases then that may be a time to reduce the number of slots, on the assumption that Hounds are missing

Thanks, Bill. One further question: when do you suggest is the best time to change the number of slots? During an RX session or at a different time?

John, Bill,
perhaps another approach would be to think of the data flow and how integrity of the contact log is maintained. Currently WSJT-X has data integrity since a log entry is made

If the building has wifi, put a Raspberry Pi at roof level with a GPS unit and a wifi dongle. Let it be a ntp server for the network.

Re: Time sync issues
We thought about that. Problem is, the shack is in the middle of the first floor of a three story building. We would have to run a line to the roof for the GPS to work. Huge task.

Hi John,
glad things are going well apart from the dupes in the log. I am sure you have worked this out, but take care to have the number of slots allowed set appropriately for the propagation

Hi Bill.
Yes, we are using 2.1.2 and understand the process. It would be good if, in the future, a second or third transmitted RR73 within a 2 minute period, for example, did not create additional log
