Love to see how that works out in the real world, there's a lot of handwaving in the description (works best on low frequencies, ground wave, near the transmitter) and even then it's a degree or so of

It is supposed to limit by default but one of my instances generated an enormous file ~500MB! (Others did not, I do not know why.)
It rarely is of any use. If you have no problems just delete

Is there any reason not to delete it every month after I back it up?
Will wsjtx start a new log automatically?

The wsjtx_syslog.log is only a debugging help. It is not read by the wsjt-x

I backup my system regularly monthly. I noticed that wsjtx_syslog.log has become very large. There is about 2 years worth of data in it.
Is there any reason not to delete it every month after I back

Yes, I have Auto Seq checked.
Yes, I've checked and unchecked "Disable TX after 73" with no effect.
Am I missing something here?
BTW, WSJTX sends a 73 just fine after my RR73.

What you describe is typical of an SDR program.
Many SDR receivers are best not used at the centre (Local Oscillator) frequency so an offset is applied, often adjustable.

The same occurs on QO-100 satellite... (and obviously can't work on
the downlink...)

Use USB mode and not USB-D which has limited bandwidth on the 991.
Menu 103 set to Rear. My notes on Tx show menu 107=42 and the RF Gain knob half-way. RF Gain at max causing digitization

I am using the WSPR mode in WSJT-X to control gqrx, which is tuning an RSPdx, running under DragonOS on a Raspberry Pi 4B. Things are working fine, but there is a "quirk" that I don't understand.

JTAlert has always disabled audio output if WSJTX is using the same output device, but that was a one-off check at startup. and didn't take into account changes mid session.
