Hi Pietro
You don't tell what rig you are using as the exciter. In most of modern rig the TX filter cut off power around that audio frequency for normal settings of the rig. You could use Split

Pietro, What do you have the TX bandpass filter set for?
If the upper setting is lower than 2700 then you are either
on the edge or totally out of the upper limit passband.
Try adjusting the TX

WSJT uncommanded shutdown

Had just been doing some 15m work on FT8, when I suddenly notice an Un-commanded shut down with 2 errors. Tried to restart and received the same
2 errors.
Sub process error:
Failed to close orphaned

FWIW when I first stated using Wsjt-x/FT8 I had the same opinion. I was only working strong stations. Now I have an antiquated set up but since I got a handle on my output audio it works great.

Perhaps JTAlert has even that possibility. I am not using it myself.
As such a strong reception signal may not mean that the station has a good reception. That station may use very high

WSJT-X has a "Rig Split" mode -- do you have that turned on?

That doesn’t apply to late model Icom radios. With these radios the ALC does nothing until it reaches the threshold. The threshold is the red area of the meter. The power control does not set power
