I use unchecked "hold tx". I have never heard of a lockout. My question is this a RX interfering in the operation of the water fall?

Agree! A 286 PC could do 19200 without breaking a sweat, and today we have systems doing 10Gbit and 100Gbit network speeds, which is not only a much more complex protocol, but a lot faster,

19200, too high !? This was a normal baud rate 30 years ago...
The problem will be solved sooner or later... It's just annoying to reboot the PC every time I use the radio for other things than

There's a lockout if you transmit on your QSO partner's frequency, make sure you have checked 'Hold Tx" and are transmitting on a blank section of the waterfall.

JT Alert scans your logbook when you start (or when you do a
"rebuild") and builds a B4 table. It adds QSOs to that B4
table as you work them but *ONLY ON THE MACHINE ON WHICH*

If you're expecting JT Alert to do this, it won't as it creates its B4
table from your connected log when it starts up in memory. This allows
for a faster 'look up' when the call is decoded.
