Menu settings for items 29 and 30 won't keep the radio from transmitting.

Menu number 071 is different from my setting on FT-991A. My setting for menu number 071 is DTR instead DAKY.
And my setting for PTT Method is DTR instead CAT.

Agreed on all counts. Several times I've been able to use it to get someone to look for me, and even to suggest a clear frequency on his end.

That's interesting. Ubuntu 22.04 definitely has libboost 1.74 :-

I installed the deb using apt on a clean install of Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS plus current updates. Worked no problem.
The dependencies that had to be installed were:-

There are several reasons without audio or no output.
Make sure the followings:
1.Your send frequency by WSJT-X whether 1400Hz-1600Hz or not?
2. MENU NUMBER 64 and MENU NUMBER 65 in FT-991,

A fairly simple way to check your own transmissions is to watch your output on an SDR. Just using one with no antenna or a very short piece of wire will fo the trick.

Ken - My interpretation of Initial Set Mode Item 30 is that HSEND is active regardless of the setting. If the radio is on any of the HF bands, Signalink should key the radio if the internal jumpers
